A keen past member of Round Table and international PLASA member, Carl-Fredrik Malmgren has been involved in the entertainment industry since the late 1970s, when he was a mobile DJ using equipment from pioneering UK companies, Roger Squire’s and Scott Sound Systems.

Carl-Fredrik has managed this by focusing approximately 50% of Fremlabs activities on the rental market and the other 50% on sales, installation and service. The company's rental stock includes Digico SD8-24, Yamaha LS9-16/32, Meyer UPM/UPA/MSL-2 and KV2 PAsystems, 10x Martin MAC250s, Avolites Tiger, EuroTruss FD34 and ProLyte X30 trussing, Shure/Sennheiser wireless systems and misc spotlights/fresnels/profiles/dimmers etc. On the AV side they have 3x Sanyo XF45/XF47 projectors at 10k/15k ANSI, More than 15 projectors ranging from 1800 ANSI to 6000 ANSI, screens, videos, PC's, Kramer switchers/scalers, cabling and also staging and drapes.

Fremlab also specialise in the creative design and project management of conferences, events and product launches/kick-off. The list of past clients includes companies such as Skanska, Kraft, McNeil, Levi Strauss, IKEA, ERA, Sharp and jobs such as fashion shows and temporary architectural lighting projects. Fremlab are also a leading provider of design, installation and maintenance services for sport-centres, hotels, corporate rooms, private homes and bars throughout southern Sweden, and are capable of dealing with an event on any scale, no matter how complex or how vast. On the private installation side they work with highly recommended companies like Crestron and Kaleidescape.

The company have also attracted attention in the press and with the public, when in April 2001 the owner Carl-Fredrik Malmgren was elected "Årets Företagare 2000" (Contractor of the Year 2000) by "Helsingborgs Stad" and the "Företagarnas Riksorganisation".
